Roads Department

The Harborcreek Township Roads Department is located off Route 20 directly behind the Township Municipal Building. The square footage 8000 that allows for all equipment to be stored and serviced.

Applications for employment in the Roads Department can be downloaded here – . Fill it out and drop it off at the Municipal Building or to the Township Board Secretary.

We are responsible for over 132 assets and 92 miles of roadways, including vehicles and heavy construction equipment. The roads department performs roadway repair, street sign installation and maintenance, storm water drainage, heavy and light construction projects, , street-sweeping, traffic light installations and repair, and right-of-way clearing.
Street Sweeping
The sweeping program can begin as early as January depending on weather conditions, and continues through June. If there is a heavy winter build-up of anti-skid material on the roads, the program may extend into the summer. the street sweeping not only remove’s winter material from roadways but also prevents salt and anti-skid from entering the waterways for compliance with ms4 regulations.
Road Repairs
Potholes are patched on a consistent basis. Street repairs including seal coat resurfacing, paving, and storm water projects will be posted below for the upcoming season.
Road Occupancy Permit
Any work that is being proposed in the township right of way must secure a highway occupancy permit with Brian Benovic.

Traffic Lights

We are responsible for the repair and upgrade of the traffic lights in the township. If you notice a problem with a traffic light it can be reported to us using our .

If you come upon a traffic light that has no power and is not functioning that intersection should be treated as a 4-way stop.
