Whitford Park

A little information… Whitford Park is located at 5400 Iroquois Avenue at the intersection of Boyer Road. It offers 4 covered picnic pavilions available to rent with electricity (no kitchen facilities), a shared playground area complete with pickleball and basketball courts, and an operating concession facility that is supervised 7 days a week all summer long. A stage area built in the fall of 2010. With more than 50 outdoor tables and grilling facilities, Whitford Park is a very popular local summer recreational spot. Featuring Wednesday evening concerts throughout the summer season at Pavilion 3 (concert schedule is posted in “News & Events” section near the end of April).

The Jarrid Lee King Pavilion
On June 20th, 2011, Harborcreek Township named its new pavilion in honor of Jarrid Lee King.

Jarrid Lee King, 20, of Harborcreek Twp., gave the ultimate sacrifice in Eastern Afghanistan, Ghazni Province, on Wednesday, January 12, 2011.

Jarrid attended Harbor Creek High School and left for active duty in the U.S. Army on April 1, 2009. He was with the 693rd Sapper Company based out of Fort Drum, N.Y.

Harborcreek Township named its new playground at Whitford Park in honor of Bryan R. Bell.

Sr. Airman Bryan R. Bell, age 23, of Harborcreek Twp., gave the ultimate sacrifice in support of Operation Enduring Freedom on Thursday, January 5, 2012 in Shir Ghazi in Afghanistan’s southern Helmand Province.

Bryan is the son of Richard W. Bell and Donna Peters Aldrich, both of Harborcreek Twp. He was a 2006 graduate of Harbor Creek High School.
